Romelu Lukaku grabbed another goal last night as he led Roma to a 4-0 win over Servette in the Europa League.

The Belgian striker opened the scoring for Jose Mourinho’s team, then left the pitch to a standing ovation when taken off in the second half.

It wasn’t his cleanest effort, bouncing up and looping in to the net, but it did the trick, setting the Romans on their way.

That takes him to 7 goals and 2 assists in 9 games in the Italian capital, a truly impressive return and a much better effort than last season, where he didn’t get firing at all under the new year.

We weren’t able to agree a purchase option in his loan deal with Roma, but if he keeps up this form we will have no problem shifting him at the end of the season anyway. Finally, the disastrous partnership can be ended once again.
