Luis Enrique has already made his stance on Liverpool clear after emerging as their leading managerial target.

Liverpool have now suffered nine defeats in their last 12 games across all competitions following Tuesday’s 4-1 Champions League loss to PSV. The team has slipped out of the Premier League’s top half and currently sit below Everton, who beat Manchester United 1-0 on Monday.
The upcoming eight days could be crucial for Arne Slot, with Liverpool travelling to West Ham and Leeds before hosting Sunderland on December 2. Club legend Jamie Carragher wrote in The Telegraph that Slot has these three matches to “save his job”, insisting that anything fewer than seven points would leave his position “untenable”.
Although Liverpool rarely dismiss managers midway through a season—Roy Hodgson and Brendan Rodgers being rare exceptions—reports suggest that if Slot is removed, the club would first consider asking Jurgen Klopp to return on an interim basis until the campaign ends.
Their long-term target is said to be PSG manager Luis Enrique, who led the French side to their first Champions League title last season.
Liverpool and PSG met in Europe last term, with the Reds winning 2-1 at Anfield to level the tie. Before that match, Enrique praised Liverpool, describing them as one of Europe’s top sides in recent years. He highlighted their strong Champions League form and credited Slot for building a balanced, well-organised team capable of pressing, defending, and attacking with equal precision.
