Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has cautioned his side about the threat posed by Jack Grealish as Spurs prepare for a vital Premier League encounter against Everton.
The north London side head to the Hill Dickinson Stadium under pressure following a disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa and a frustrating goalless draw with Monaco in the Champions League. Frank’s men are seeking their first win at Everton since 2018, but the hosts remain unbeaten at their new ground and are in strong form.
Everton have been boosted by the resurgence of Grealish, who has rediscovered his best form during a season-long loan from Manchester City. The midfielder has registered one goal and four assists in seven league matches, earning the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
Frank acknowledged Grealish’s influence, describing him as Everton’s main creative force.
“He’s their main creator, no doubt about that,” Frank said. “He’s so dangerous and can make something happen out of nothing in every game. Of course, we need to be aware of him. Beto has been good up front, Ndiaye has impressed, and Dewsbury-Hall looks sharp again after his time at Chelsea. And, of course, David Moyes is a manager I admire — his teams are always very competitive.”
Tottenham’s preparations have been hampered by injuries to several key players, including captain Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski. Frank confirmed progress in their recoveries but admitted that fitness issues continue to limit his options.
“Every manager wants all players fit,” he said. “We’ll keep working with what we have and focus on building rhythm in attack. Some of our players are still growing into their roles, but the effort and quality are there, and we’ll aim to improve with every game.”
