Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Tottenham’s reported interest in £87 million-rated forward and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Dusan Vlahovic and another striker have been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks, and Fabrizio Romano has now shared what his sources have revealed regarding the rumours.

As reported by Spurs Web, speculation has been growing that Tottenham are keen to bring in a new number nine during the January transfer window, with two players standing out as primary targets.

Multiple reports suggest that Spurs are monitoring Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose current deal will enter its final six months in January. The club are also said to be admirers of Porto forward Samu Aghehowa, who has impressed since joining from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024.

It has been reported that Fabio Paratici could be spearheading Tottenham’s pursuit of both forwards, given his admiration for Aghehowa and his strong connections with Juventus, which could give Spurs an edge in the race for Vlahovic.

However, Romano has now clarified that, according to his sources, there is currently no concrete development regarding either player.

When asked by GiveMeSport about the truth behind the rumours linking Spurs with the Porto and Juventus strikers, Romano replied:

“Nothing in it as of today. Both will be names to follow in 2026 in general, so links are normal, but we’ll see many links.”

Tottenham may delay striker plans

Journalist Pete O’Rourke recently reported via Football Insider that Tottenham are unlikely to bring in a new striker in January. He explained that securing a quality centre-forward mid-season would be difficult, meaning Thomas Frank may have to rely on his current attacking options until next summer.

It’s also been argued that a creative wide-forward could be a more immediate priority for the North London club when the transfer window opens.
