Liverpool “would struggle to turn down” the 58-year-old manager if an opportunity to reappoint him came up.

Reports have even suggested Liverpool could consider a sensational move to bring back former manager Jürgen Klopp.

But according to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, while neither Klopp nor the club would entirely rule out the idea, a reunion remains highly unlikely. Klopp has previously said that Liverpool is the only Premier League club he’d consider returning to, but he’s currently content in his leadership role at Red Bull and is not expected to leave that project anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are not planning any rash moves regarding Slot’s position. The club, who only recently won the Premier League title under his management, intend to stay patient and give the Dutchman time to steady the ship.
