Arne Slot addresses Liverpool’s problems following their 3-2 defeat to Brentford: “We still haven’t figured it out yet.”

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has admitted that his team are still struggling to find answers after their 3-2 defeat to Brentford — marking a fourth straight Premier League loss.
Speaking post-match, Slot pointed to both tactical and structural issues as key reasons behind Liverpool’s poor form:
> “A lot of what you mentioned plays a part. As I’ve said many times, teams approach games against us with a very specific strategy — and it’s proving effective. We haven’t found a solution yet.
> “Conceding early, like today after five minutes, never helps. It’s become a pattern — teams know how to play against us. Even when we’re not at our best, we still manage to score and create chances, but you can’t compete if you’re leaking goals like we are. That’s not just about the defence — it’s an issue across the whole team.
> “Of course, the changes we made over the summer play a role. It’s normal to have some instability after that, though I didn’t expect four consecutive defeats. And to be fair, five of our last six games have been away, which hasn’t made things any easier.”
