New update surfaces on possible Heung-min Son loan move to AC Milan amid Tottenham’s close watch

Tottenham icon Heung-min Son is being tipped for a short-term return to Europe once the Major League Soccer season wraps up, but a journalist has now clarified whether there’s any truth to those claims.

Since joining LAFC, Son has taken the MLS by storm, recording nine goals and three assists in just ten matches. His dominant form has prompted speculation that the 33-year-old still has plenty left to give at the top level, with some reports even suggesting a possible loan move back to Tottenham when the MLS campaign ends in December.

However, Football Asian dismissed that idea two weeks ago, stating it would be logistically impossible for Son to rejoin Spurs due to his pre-season commitments.

More recently, rumors have emerged linking Son with a temporary switch to AC Milan during the MLS off-season (via ESPN). Yet, journalist Matteo Moretto has since downplayed those reports on his YouTube channel, explaining that there is no substance behind them. He added that Milan have shown no interest in signing the former Tottenham captain, citing financial factors and their existing depth on the left wing. The Italian club is instead focused on recruiting a striker in January.

Meanwhile, Ben Davies recently spoke about Son during a fan forum, admitting it feels “strange” not having him around at Tottenham. The two have been teammates since 2015, with Son even serving as godfather to Davies’ child.

Spurs fans, however, may not have seen the last of their beloved captain — Son has expressed a desire to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to say a proper goodbye, having missed the chance to do so before his summer departure.
