Club director Fabio Paratici is said to be working behind the scenes to strengthen Frank’s attacking options ahead of the January transfer window. Spurs scored three times against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, taking their tally for the season to 17 — the joint highest in the league. It has been a strong start to the campaign under Frank, with Tottenham sitting third after nine matches.

Despite this, reports suggest the manager is not entirely satisfied with his current striker options. Randal Kolo Muani, brought in on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, has struggled with injuries, while Richarlison has scored just once in the league since his opening-day brace against Burnley. Dominic Solanke’s ongoing fitness issues have also raised concerns, and Football Insider claims the former Bournemouth forward could be sold in January.

That situation could open the door for a new arrival, with journalist James Davies reporting that Tottenham have shown interest in Brentford forward Kevin Schade. The 23-year-old joined the Bees from Freiburg in 2023 for £22 million, during Frank’s tenure in west London.

Davies revealed on X: “EXCL: Fabio Paratici has been in contact with Epic Sports Agency in the last 48 hours regarding Kevin Schade. Tottenham want to be kept updated on the situation — Thomas Frank is a huge admirer of his former player.”

Schade has had a slow start to life in the Premier League due to injury setbacks but has recently returned to form, netting twice this season — including in Brentford’s 3-2 win over Liverpool.

While at Brentford, Frank spoke highly of Schade’s potential, saying after a brace against Manchester United in May: “He’s grown a lot this season. Scoring 10 goals – not many players have achieved that in the Premier League – and he’ll only get better. With his pace, aerial ability, and work rate in both boxes, he’s an incredible player.”

In other news, Tottenham have reportedly been advised they could secure a “strong player” to replace Solanke for a bargain fee in January.
