Wow! Claressa Shields Accuses Laila Ali of “Hating” and Ignoring the Black Community (VIDEOS)

Laila Ali recently fired shots at Claressa Shields in a YouTube video, accusing the boxing champ of using her name for clout and attention. Ali revisited their history, claiming she once offered Shields career advice — and even brought receipts to back it up. But if anyone thought Claressa would stay quiet, they were wrong. She quickly clapped back with her own video, and she didn’t hold anything back.

Shields took her response to another level by mirroring Laila’s video format — dropping her own 20-minute clapback packed with evidence. And just like Laila, Claressa came prepared with her own receipts.
She began by accusing Ali of tearing down other female athletes and played an old clip of Laila’s Breakfast Club interview, where she spoke about Ronda Rousey in what Claressa described as a “demeaning” way. Shields claimed Ali tends to “hate” on women in combat sports who get more attention than her. “People overlook it because she’s supposed to be classy and above it all,” Claressa said.

Claressa then took things a step further, criticizing Laila for not standing firmly with the Black Lives Matter movement. She shared photos of herself attending protests supporting Black men killed by police, contrasting that with Laila’s comments in a past interview. In that interview, Ali expressed that she supports fans of all races and prefers saying “All Lives Matter” to avoid excluding anyone — a stance Shields found disappointing given Muhammad Ali’s legacy of racial activism.
“To me, it doesn’t seem like you’re proud to be who you are — the daughter of the Great Muhammad Ali,” Shields said.
She also described Laila’s video as “mean girl energy” — polite on the surface, but “nasty” underneath. “She’s always wanted to hate on me, and now she’s doing it proudly to promote her YouTube channel,” Claressa added.
Laila Ali’s Side of the Story
Laila’s YouTube post appeared to be a response to Claressa’s earlier comments on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, where Shields referred to her as “just Muhammad Ali’s daughter.” In her video, Laila said she was disappointed in Claressa and accused her of trying to damage her reputation.
“At the time, I didn’t realize how divisive and vindictive she could be,” Laila said in a previous Instagram clip. “She saw me as the face of women’s boxing and wanted my spot — and she’s been on a mission to ruin my reputation ever since.”
