Scott McTominay is reportedly happy and settled at Serie A side Napoli despite being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with a return to the Premier League currently off the table.

According to a report from Sky Sport Italia, relayed by Calcio Napoli 24, Tottenham have identified McTominay as a potential target as they look to strengthen their midfield options next year. The North London club are eager to bring in an attacking midfielder, and the 28-year-old Napoli star has emerged as one of their key interests.

However, a source close to McTominay has dismissed any possibility of a move, confirming that the Scottish international is enjoying life in Italy. The source stated, “Scott loves the city, the club, and the fans. He’s really happy here, happy in Naples. There’s no doubt about his return.”

Since joining Napoli from Manchester United last year, McTominay has revitalised his career. His performances were instrumental in helping Napoli win the Serie A title in the 2024/25 season, earning him widespread acclaim, including the Serie A MVP award and an 18th-place finish in the 2025 Ballon d’Or rankings.

The midfielder has continued his impressive form this season, contributing four goals and one assist in 11 appearances across all competitions. His displays have caught the eye of several top European clubs, including Tottenham, who are in search of a dynamic and versatile midfielder to boost their squad depth under Thomas Frank.

Despite this growing interest, McTominay remains committed to Napoli, making any transfer unlikely in the near future. Tottenham, therefore, may have to turn their attention elsewhere as the Scottish international appears fully focused on his journey with the Italian champions.
