Tottenham Hotspur’s injury woes are piling up, with Thomas Frank’s squad hit by yet another major setback as another player is ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Although Frank insisted that precautions were taken to avoid a repeat of last season’s fitness issues, those efforts appear to have fallen short. Spurs have already been dealing with double-digit absences early in the campaign, and now things have gone from bad to worse with young midfielder Archie Gray picking up an injury expected to sideline him for around eight weeks.

As reported by Jake Sanders of The Sun, details of the 19-year-old’s injury are still unclear, but his absence is a significant blow for Frank, who is already missing several key players. Gray joins Cristian Romero, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai, and Yves Bissouma on Tottenham’s extensive injury list.

Sanders added that Spurs now have just 15 fit senior outfield players available ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle United.

With a busy schedule approaching, Tottenham’s midfield depth is becoming a serious concern. Yves Bissouma is already sidelined long-term, and Gray’s injury leaves only Rodrigo Bentancur, Joao Palhinha, and Pape Sarr available in central midfield — meaning another setback could plunge the Lilywhites into a full-blown crisis.
