Report: Postecoglou lined up for a new coaching job following his dismissal by Nottingham Forest

Ange Postecoglou was recently dismissed by Nottingham Forest, but he’s already being linked with a potential return to Celtic.
The Scottish giants are reportedly searching for a strong successor to Brendan Rodgers and are keen on bringing the Australian coach back to Glasgow. As per Football Insider, Celtic are expected to reach out to him soon.
Successful spell at Celtic
Postecoglou previously enjoyed huge success with Celtic, winning multiple league titles and even securing a domestic treble. A return to the club would likely appeal to him, given how well things went during his earlier tenure. Having already proven himself in Scotland, he may be eager to lead the club back to the top once more.
Rodgers’ resignation earlier this week has left Celtic in need of a capable replacement. As one of the biggest clubs in world football, they require a manager who can deliver silverware immediately.
Familiar with the club and its culture, Postecoglou already knows how to get the best out of the squad and could make a smooth transition back into the role.
Looking to rebuild his reputation
After an underwhelming spell at Nottingham Forest, Postecoglou will be eager to restore his reputation at the highest level. His time at Tottenham ended with a bottom-half Premier League finish, although he did manage to win the UEFA Europa League last season.
It remains to be seen whether he can help Celtic lift a trophy this year. The Hoops currently sit second in the Scottish Premiership, six points behind leaders Hearts, and will be hoping for a turnaround in the coming weeks.
