Liverpool supporters made their feelings known before kick-off against Real Madrid, directing chants towards both Andy Robertson and Conor Bradley – and sending a not-so-subtle message to former favourite Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The atmosphere was already lively as the Reds prepared to face Xabi Alonso’s side, fresh from a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa and a 5-1 thrashing of Frankfurt in Europe.

As Alexander-Arnold stepped out for the warm-up, the reaction was immediate. Boos rang around Anfield – hardly surprising given how sour the right-back’s departure felt for many fans.
The discontent continued when the ex-No.66 took his place on Madrid’s bench, with supporters again voicing their frustration.

Trent’s response to the boos
Journalist Theo Squires shared footage on X showing Trent’s reaction as he walked onto the pitch. The England international could be seen smirking, seemingly unfazed and fully aware of the reception awaiting him.
With only limited game time for his new club, Alonso’s decision to leave him out of the starting XI may have taken some pressure off.
