“I think it’s a pity,” said the Belgian. “I’m not judging the fans—they’re entitled to their opinions—but he’s a young man who gave his whole career to Liverpool. We only get one career, and I think they’re hurt because they wanted a different outcome. I hope one day they forgive him and remember everything he achieved for them.”
