According to SPORT, Liverpool are reportedly considering Club Brugge boss Nicky Hayen as a potential successor to Arne Slot.
The Dutch manager is facing growing pressure following a disappointing run of results. Despite sitting third in the Premier League table, Liverpool have lost six of their last eight games across all competitions, with performances falling well below expectations. Slot’s inability to get the best out of a squad that saw heavy investment in the summer has raised questions about his future.

Hayen, 45, is regarded as a promising coach and has earned respect across Europe. However, while he’s seen as a potential long-term option, his lack of experience at the top level could make the Liverpool role a significant step up. Rob Edwards, chairman of Haverfordwest, recently suggested Hayen might be ready for such a move within the next two years, describing him as a manager with “a special aura.”
The chance to lead Liverpool would undoubtedly appeal to Hayen, but the club are expected to tread carefully. Slot still retains considerable credit for last season’s league title triumph, and the board are unlikely to make any hasty decisions. For now, they’re expected to give him the opportunity to steady the ship and turn Liverpool’s season around.
