Big news emerges on new contract for Micky van de ven

“Romero’s decision to stay last summer has influenced Van de Ven, who is now prepared to follow suit and commit his future to the club. He’s expected to receive a contract similar to the Argentine’s. Both the player and Spurs are aware of outside interest, but Tottenham see him as one of Europe’s finest and are showing that belief with this proposed new deal. Talks are expected to speed up this month.”

Tottenham simply cannot afford to lose Van de Ven. Although fans already knew he was a top-quality player, his performances this season have exceeded expectations. Remarkably, the defender has added goals to his game and shown real leadership, wearing the captain’s armband five times. Losing him would be a devastating blow, and Spurs must do everything possible to ensure he signs a new long-term contract.
