“You never can tell” — Reporter reveals fresh update on European giants chasing Liverpool standout.
Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has recently been the subject of growing speculation over a potential move away from Anfield.
Reports suggest that Real Madrid are closely monitoring his situation, with the Spanish giants reportedly considering a move next summer. The Argentine midfielder, who’s widely regarded as one of the best in his position right now, would bring much-needed creativity and control to Real’s midfield following the departures of Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos.
While a transfer would make sense for Madrid, the chances of a deal appear slim. Mac Allister is said to be content at Liverpool and has no intention of pushing for an exit.
Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke shared the latest:
> “This speculation about Mac Allister and Real Madrid has been around for a while. You just never know. His father has previously said he was flattered by Madrid’s interest but the player himself has made it clear he’s happy at Liverpool and there’s been no contact. At the moment, it’s purely speculation.”
Real Madrid remain focused on strengthening their squad to challenge for La Liga and the Champions League, and Mac Allister’s technical ability and intelligence make him a perfect fit for their style of play. However, unless circumstances change dramatically, the Argentine looks set to continue his journey on Merseyside — at least for now.
