Tottenham handed an early lift before Champions League clash with PSG

Spurs sit tenth in the Champions League league phase and remain well placed to secure qualification. A top-eight finish is still within reach, but Thomas Frank’s side face a tough run of fixtures with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt all on the schedule.

Their next game is arguably the biggest, as Tottenham travel to Paris to take on PSG later this month. The Ligue 1 giants are currently fifth in the standings, but Tottenham have been given an early lift ahead of their trip to France. PSG could be without several key players when they welcome Spurs on November 26, just three days after Tottenham’s North London derby at the Emirates.

PSG suffered their first defeat of the Champions League campaign against Bayern Munich this week and the loss came with bad news on the injury front too. The club have confirmed on their official channels that Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembele and Nuno Mendes will be sidelined for a few weeks. Desire Doue is also out, though no timeframe has been given for his return. PSG could therefore be missing four important players when they face Tottenham.

Spurs also have injury issues, but a few absentees could be back in contention for the trip to Paris. Dominic Solanke is expected to return after the international break, and Tottenham will hope the England striker is available to lead the attack at Parc des Princes. Archie Gray is set to miss around a month with a calf injury suffered last week and is now in a race to be fit in time for the PSG showdown.
