Liverpool Fans Urge Player’s Exit in January Following Man City Loss

Liverpool supporters have urged the club to sell one player in January following his poor display at the Etihad.
It was another miserable Premier League outing for Arne Slot’s side, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in what was the Spaniard’s 1000th game as a manager.
Erling Haaland broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, having earlier missed a penalty saved by stand-in goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. Liverpool briefly thought they had levelled through Virgil van Dijk, but the goal was ruled out after VAR confirmed Andy Robertson was offside and interfering with play.
City doubled their advantage before halftime through Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Doku sealed the win with a stunning strike in the second half.
While the whole team underperformed, fans were particularly critical of Ibrahima Konate’s showing, with his recent form and reported links to a free transfer move to Real Madrid adding fuel to the frustration.
One fan fumed: “Sell Konate in January, he looks disinterested—his mind’s already in Madrid.”
Another added: “Konate needs to go. He can’t pass, makes awful decisions, and plays with no strength.”
A third quipped: “Can we arrange transport for Konate to Madrid in January? Gomez can cover the rest of the season.”
A fourth slammed: “Once Konate makes one mistake, more always follow. He’s a liability.”
One supporter even joked: “If Madrid take Konate for free, we’ve pulled off a heist.”
