Slot, meanwhile, handled the situation with quiet dignity. He focused on football and fairness, notably commenting on a controversial offside decision, rather than dwelling on a chant from the crowd. The contrast between the two managers was stark: one fixates on perceived disrespect, the other keeps the spotlight on the game.

Guardiola’s silence speaks volumes. When the same song comes from his own fans, it seems suddenly unworthy of mention. That isn’t respect—it’s hypocrisy.
