Major Mohammed Kudus injury update as Tottenham star withdraws from Ghana squad
Alasdair Gold has shared Tottenham’s current stance on Mohammed Kudus’ fitness ahead of the North London derby.
Kudus has missed Spurs’ last two games against Copenhagen and Manchester United with a knock. The winger has been Tottenham’s standout attacker this season, and many fans believe his absence may have cost them all three points on Saturday.
Before the 2-2 draw with United, Thomas Frank admitted Kudus was “touch and go” to feature — a sign that the winger could be back in action after the international break.
According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, Kudus has now withdrawn from the Ghana squad for their Asian tour, where the Black Stars will face Japan and Heung-min Son’s South Korea. The ex-West Ham star didn’t travel, but Frank remains “very confident” he’ll be fit for the North London derby on November 23.
Meanwhile, another injured Spurs player, Lucas Bergvall, hopes to represent Sweden in their World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Slovenia despite recently suffering a concussion. Radu Dragusin, however, will stay at Hotspur Way and take part in a behind-closed-doors friendly as he continues his recovery.
