Tottenham possess a hidden midfield gem who has scored more goals than both Palhinha and Bentancur put together.

The resurgence of Mikey Moore at Rangers and the consistent form of Luka Vuskovic at Hamburg may have captured most of the headlines, but another Tottenham prospect is quietly making waves in League Two.

That player is Tyrese Hall, who has matched the combined goal tally of Richarlison and Mathys Tel since joining Notts County on loan last summer.

The young midfielder once again stood out as one of the key performers in Notts County’s 2-1 away victory over Cheltenham on Monday.

Hall netted his side’s second goal in the 27th minute, just four minutes after Alassana Jatta opened the scoring. The Tottenham academy graduate displayed excellent composure and control, taking a sharp first touch under defensive pressure before placing the ball expertly into the far corner to make it six goals for the season.

That tally means Hall has scored more goals this campaign than Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur combined.

At just 20 years old, Hall’s ability to make late runs into the box and convert chances highlights his natural attacking instincts from midfield.

Earlier this year, Jermain Defoe expressed surprise that Hall had yet to make his senior debut for Tottenham, praising the youngster’s talent and potential.

With his current form, Hall looks ready for a greater challenge, leaving Tottenham with an important decision to make in January — whether to recall him and arrange a loan move to a League One or Championship club.
