The PGMOL have released the VAR audio from the moments following Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed goal against Manchester City on Sunday.

Liverpool’s captain appeared to have equalized with a brilliant header after 38 minutes at the Etihad, only for the goal to be ruled out due to Andy Robertson’s involvement.

Robertson was in an offside position and was deemed to have interfered with Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, footage from certain angles shows that Donnarumma had a clear view of van Dijk and wasn’t affected by Robertson at all. Despite this, Video Assistant Referee Michael Oliver – a Newcastle United supporter – ruled the goal out after a brief review.
