Tottenham identify £60m-rated Premier League winger — who has already netted four goals this season — as a potential alternative to Rodrygo.

Several wide forwards have been linked with a move to N17 in recent weeks, with Thomas Frank’s side appearing to prioritise that position ahead of the January transfer window. Spurs were reportedly prepared to spend heavily on Morgan Rogers, but that opportunity has passed following the 23-year-old’s decision to sign a new contract with Aston Villa.

Reports also suggested Tottenham were leading the race to sign Rodrygo after missing out on the Real Madrid star in the summer. However, a new name has now emerged as a potential top target for the Lilywhites.

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, speaking to Football Insider, Frank has instructed the Spurs hierarchy to focus on bringing in a wide forward in January. He explained that the Dane had wanted another winger during the summer window, but the club failed to finalise a deal.

While O’Rourke confirms Tottenham’s continued interest in Rodrygo, he admits that signing the Brazilian mid-season would be extremely difficult. This aligns with Florian Plettenberg’s earlier report, which stated that Spurs cannot afford Rodrygo’s wages and that current links are overstated.

As a result, Tottenham could now turn their attention to Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, who has made an impressive start to the season. O’Rourke notes that although Everton are reluctant to part ways with the Senegal international, Spurs are closely monitoring his situation.

Other sources have also backed Tottenham’s strong admiration for Ndiaye. Recently, Dean Jones reported that Spurs may fully pursue the Everton star following Rogers’ contract extension at Villa. However, signing Ndiaye will not come cheap, with reports suggesting Tottenham would need to pay over £60 million — a figure that could rise further if the winger’s fine form continues.
