The journalist shared mixed news on Stefan Bajcetic, Jayden Danns, Alisson Becker and Jeremie Frimpong ahead of the international break.

Bajcetic progressing, Frimpong facing longer absence
Steel revealed that Bajcetic has stepped up his recovery by returning to light training after his summer surgery and could soon feature for the U21s.
However, the outlook for Jeremie Frimpong is far less positive, with the Dutchman expected to be out for at least six weeks. Steel stressed that “patience is needed” as the full-back continues his recovery.

It’s another setback for the 24-year-old, whose early months at Anfield have been disrupted, adding weight to recent criticism over Liverpool’s summer recruitment.

Danns suffers a setback
Jayden Danns is reportedly upbeat but faces an unclear recovery timeframe after what Steel described as a “nasty” injury. That will disappoint fans, especially after Rob Page recently tipped him as a potential future England No.9.

Alisson pushing for a return
On a more positive note, Alisson Becker could be ready to return against Nottingham Forest, with the Brazilian aiming for a quick comeback.
