Tottenham are keen to steer clear of a £79m bidding battle as Liverpool enter the Premier League chase for the winger.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are already well aware of Antoine Semenyo, having monitored him closely last summer before he chose to extend his stay at Bournemouth.
The winger signed a new deal keeping him at the Vitality Stadium until 2030, ending any late approach Spurs considered at the time.

Despite that, new reports continue to link Tottenham with a fresh attempt to land Semenyo, though his price tag has increased again.

According to TeamTalk, Spurs still hold an interest in signing Semenyo in January as they assess their options out wide. The club is thought to be wary of entering a bidding battle for the Ghanaian forward, whose value has surged thanks to his strong attacking displays this season.

Previously rated at around £70 million in the summer, Semenyo is now believed to be valued at £79 million. Bournemouth even rejected a £50 million bid from Tottenham during that period. While Spurs remain alert to any movement, Bournemouth have no desire to sell their key man, especially given his nine goal contributions in the league so far—six goals and three assists.

For Tottenham, signing Semenyo would be a major statement, but they face stiff competition. Liverpool are also reportedly tracking the Bournemouth star as Arne Slot aims to strengthen his attacking options and build long-term depth.

The Reds are said to view Semenyo as an investment for the future—someone who could complement Mo Salah and Alexander Isak, and possibly succeed Salah down the line.

With Tottenham and Liverpool both interested, and Bournemouth determined to keep hold of him, Semenyo’s situation heading into the winter window remains uncertain.
