Over the past month, rumours linking the striker with a move to N17 have intensified, with some reports claiming Spurs were exploring a loan deal that could help Toney navigate tax complications tied to an early departure from Saudi Arabia.

Tottenham are not the only Premier League side monitoring the 29-year-old, as Everton and West Ham are also believed to be in the race. But Al-Ahli have now shut the door on any potential move. Club director Rui Pedro Braz was unequivocal, dismissing the talk of a January exit and insisting the stories had no basis in reality.

Braz stated via Fabrizio Romano: “Ivan Toney is a top player, a top striker. The rumours around his possible exit in January are not based on reality. It’s just not true. We’re counting on him, it makes zero sense to address this subject in November.”
