Tottenham could be without as many as 10 players due to injuries ahead of the North London derby.

Tottenham have been dealing with double-digit injury absences in recent weeks, a situation Spurs fans have unfortunately grown used to in the last couple of seasons. Hopes for a post-international break boost have faded, however, with one key player suffering a setback.

Lucas Bergvall has pulled out of the Sweden squad after failing a fitness test following the concussion he picked up against Chelsea two weeks ago. He is one of 10 Tottenham players currently sidelined.

Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke remain long-term absentees, with Thomas Frank indicating the club will not rush Solanke’s recovery. Alongside Bergvall, Randal Kolo Muani and Mohammed Kudus also withdrew from international duty with injuries, though TEAMtalk reports there is some optimism that Kudus could be ready for the Arsenal clash.

Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma, Ben Davies and Kota Takai are not expected to feature at the Emirates, as all four continue their rehabilitation. There was at least one positive sign this week, with Radu Dragusin getting his first minutes in nearly 10 months during a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hotspur Way, coming through the match without issues.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s situation looks far more encouraging. Reports indicate that Mikel Arteta could welcome back five key players for the derby. Noni Madueke is on track to be available, while Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard are all pushing to be involved next Sunday.
