Liverpool are reportedly preparing to target Barcelona winger Raphinha as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah next summer.

The Brazil international could command a €100m bid from the Reds, a sum Barcelona are likely to find attractive, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in Raphinha, whose departure could ease Barcelona’s Financial Fair Play concerns.

Raphinha’s statistics at Barcelona suggest he could be the ideal successor to Salah. After previously thriving in the Premier League with Leeds United, the 28-year-old has elevated his game in Spain:

Last season alone, he contributed 60 goals and assists in 57 appearances, highlighting why Liverpool see him as a perfect fit. His prior experience in England would also help him settle quickly at Anfield.

Replacing Salah will be no easy task, especially given his current dip in form, so Liverpool appear to be looking at a high-caliber option in Raphinha.

However, LFC fans may remain cautious. Recent signings—Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez—have struggled to make an impact, even though Hugo Ekitike has started well.

There’s no guarantee Raphinha would succeed where others have failed, though his familiarity with English football could give him an edge. Still, even players coming from Premier League clubs, like Isak and Kerkez, haven’t always adapted seamlessly to new teams, tactical systems, and managers.
