Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke is currently sidelined due to a lingering ankle problem that required minor surgery.

The club officially confirmed he would go under the knife for a “small procedure” to correct the issue.

Manager Thomas Frank said after surgery that he doesn’t expect Solanke to be out “for too long,” but there’s no firm return date yet.

Solanke himself posted that the operation was successful and expressed hope that he’ll be back “in the very near future.”

According to Frank, Solanke is “progressing well,” but he’s still training on his own, which suggests he’s not quite ready to rejoin full team activity.

More concerningly, Solanke recently said he is not putting a timeline on his recovery, admitting the injury and rehab have been frustrating. Bottom line: Solanke didn’t play today because he’s still recovering from ankle surgery, and his return is not yet certain.
