Insider provides fresh update on Arne Slot’s future as Liverpool manager

Liverpool’s disastrous run of form worsened with Saturday’s astonishing 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, piling even more pressure on Arne Slot as questions grow over his future at Anfield.
The Premier League champions have now been beaten in six of their last seven league games and have slipped to 11th in the table. Slot is bearing the weight of the criticism, and his position is becoming increasingly fragile.
Arne Slot unlikely to be dismissed immediately despite slump
According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has indicated that Slot is not expected to be sacked this week, but continued poor results could quickly change that.
Brown explained: “It’s a strange situation and they’re searching for answers. Usually when a team struggles, the reasons are obvious — players making mistakes or clear tactical issues — but that hasn’t really been the case here. So naturally the blame shifts to the manager. Six defeats in seven is almost unthinkable.
“There will be serious questions soon. How long can this continue? I don’t think they’re planning to sack him right now, but what if this becomes eight, nine, ten games without improvement? They may have no choice but to act.
“You can’t pinpoint a single cause for Liverpool’s slump. The players share responsibility, but the manager always ends up carrying the blame.”
Should Liverpool part ways with Slot?
Given last season’s title triumph, Slot has earned some patience. But that goodwill is fading, and unless results turn around quickly, Liverpool may be forced into a major decision.
