“Everyone at the club knows the situation is serious. Slot understands the pressure, but he still feels backed by the hierarchy. Liverpool are not speaking to any other managers and are not exploring the idea of sacking him. That’s where things stand — but results must improve, fast.”

Liverpool board still backing Slot — but expect swift improvement

The club’s leadership continues to believe in Slot’s long-term project, though they want to see a decisive upturn in form before the New Year. While they trust him to steady the ship, failure to close the gap to the top four could force a rethink.

Liverpool remain only three points behind Aston Villa in the Champions League race, so the season is far from lost. But confidence is low, performances are inconsistent, and key figures such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Ibrahima Konaté are well below their best.
