Eberechi Eze responds after Gabriel aims a dig at Richarlison following Arsenal’s victory over Tottenham.

Arsenal star Eberechi Eze has responded to a message from teammate Gabriel following Sunday’s North London Derby.

Eze was the standout performer at the Emirates, scoring the first Premier League hat-trick of his career as Arsenal thrashed Tottenham 4–1. It was a defining moment for the midfielder, who had been heavily linked with Spurs over the summer before Arsenal ultimately secured his signature.

Gabriel made headlines after the match for taking a playful dig at Richarlison, and Eze quickly backed him up.
Despite missing the derby due to an injury picked up with Brazil, Gabriel still joined in the celebrations. He posted a photo from Arsenal’s dressing room wearing Eze’s No.10 shirt while holding both the match ball and his Premier League Player of the Month award — and notably tagged Spurs forward Richarlison, referencing the latter’s cheeky pre-season post.

Eze soon commented beneath the post, writing: “You are the best,” along with laughing emojis.

Gabriel’s absence also created an opportunity for summer signing Piero Hincapié. The £45m defender finally made his first Premier League start and delivered a confident, composed performance. With Gabriel now sidelined, Hincapié will be pushing for a regular place in the starting lineup — adding to the frustration for Tottenham, who had also shown interest in the Ecuadorian over the summer.
