Tottenham reach immediate decision on Thomas Frank’s future following Arsenal loss.

Tottenham’s shaky start under new manager Thomas Frank has prompted internal review, but the club’s new owners have already made a decision on his future. Despite Sunday’s heavy 4–1 derby defeat to Arsenal, Spurs have no plans to dismiss the Danish coach. Eberechi Eze — who came close to joining Spurs in the summer — scored a hat-trick at the Emirates, with Leandro Trossard adding the fourth to extend Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League.

The loss was Tottenham’s fourth in the league this season and has fuelled frustration among supporters who feel the team’s performances have been too flat and overly cautious. While the hierarchy recognises the poor form, they remain committed to giving Frank time to turn things around. According to The Telegraph, the Lewis family see his appointment as part of a long-term project and insist they won’t make any rash decisions, even if some doubts exist.

There are claims that Frank’s constant tactical tweaks have contributed to Spurs’ inconsistent displays, and some squad members reportedly want him to focus more on maximising the team’s strengths. The players reported to training as usual on Monday before heading to France for their upcoming Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking after the Arsenal loss, Frank said he accepts full responsibility, explaining: “I chose a 5-4-1, changed it at half-time, and within a minute we conceded for 3–0. Regardless of the system, we needed to be more aggressive and stronger in duels. That’s on me.”

Addressing the team’s dip in form, he acknowledged: “It’s a worry. I want us to have very few bad performances. There will always be average ones — that’s football — but today I thought we were fresh and ready. I didn’t expect us to be this uncompetitive.”

Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer, with Spurs paying Brentford £10 million in compensation before handing him a three-year deal.
