Curtis Jones unleashes a furious, expletive-laden outburst at his Liverpool teammates following the heavy defeat to PSV.

Liverpool have now suffered nine defeats in their last 12 matches after being dismantled by PSV Eindhoven at Anfield.

Curtis Jones delivered a brutally honest, expletive-laced assessment of his side following yet another dismal performance.

The Reds were thrashed 4-1 in Wednesday night’s Champions League clash, just days after a 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest. Despite recently beating Real Madrid in Europe, Liverpool once again collapsed when it mattered.

PSV went ahead early through an Ivan Perisic penalty after Virgil van Dijk conceded a handball. Although Dominik Szoboszlai briefly pulled Liverpool level, Arne Slot’s team fell apart after the break, with Guus Til scoring before Couhaib Driouech added two more.

The defeat means Liverpool have shipped seven goals in their last two home games and 16 across their previous seven fixtures in all competitions — a sign of a team quickly losing confidence.

Speaking to the media afterwards, a furious and dejected Curtis Jones didn’t hold back, admitting the team “are in the s***” and calling the situation “unacceptable”.

“I don’t know, I don’t have the answers,” he told RTÉ Sport. “It’s unacceptable. I’m past being angry or sad — I don’t even have the words for this.

“I’m a player and a fan. I haven’t seen a Liverpool team play this badly for as long as I can remember.”

Jones insisted the players must keep fighting: “We’ve still got that badge on our chest, and until that changes we have to work to get this team back where it belongs. But right now, we’re in the s**t and it needs to change.”

Despite a summer spend of over £400 million, Liverpool are enduring their worst run of form since 1950, with the pressure intensifying on Arne Slot — and a new favourite emerging to replace him.

Slot told TNT Sports he wanted to remain positive, highlighting the team’s reaction after going a goal behind, but admitted they must “face where we are and fight really hard”.

Sitting 13th in their Champions League group after five matches and 12th in the Premier League, Liverpool now prepare to visit West Ham on Sunday in desperate need of a turnaround.
