Liverpool Would Face a Major Payout to Dismiss Arne Slot Following the PSV Debacle

After suffering consecutive 3-0 Premier League defeats, Liverpool’s slump deepened on Wednesday as they were thrashed 4-1 by PSV Eindhoven at Anfield in the Champions League.
Ivan Perisic, Guus Til and a Couhaib Driouech double sealed a memorable win for Peter Bosz’s men, with Dominik Szoboszlai scoring Liverpool’s only goal.
The pressure on Slot is intensifying, and a growing number of supporters are beginning to question whether he can turn things around.

Asked after the PSV defeat whether he feared for his job, Slot replied:
“I feel safe, I’m OK, I’ve had a lot of support from above. It would be nice to turn things around and get a win, of course, but when you’re a coach and results are poor, it’s normal for questions to be asked. I’m comfortable with my position. This isn’t the first difficult spell I’ve faced, but it’s time we put things right.”
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday as they visit West Ham United at the London Stadium.
