Joe Hart urges Tottenham to make an important call on Thomas Frank’s future

With Thomas Frank’s position at Tottenham increasingly under the microscope, Joe Hart has shared his thoughts on the club’s choice to hire the Danish coach.

For many connected to Spurs, the ultra-defensive display in the North London derby seems to have been the breaking point in their doubts about the new head coach.

Hart revealed that when Frank was named as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement in the summer, he believed the club had made the correct call.

The former Spurs goalkeeper maintains that the ex-Brentford manager was the best option available and urged supporters to show patience.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Hart said:
“When Thomas Frank came in, it felt like the right move—not in the sense that everything would suddenly transform and Tottenham would become title contenders, but that it was a sensible step toward stability. Given where Spurs were at the time, it’s not as if they could just go and hire the PSG or Barcelona manager. That wasn’t realistic.

“You need to give him time and see how things play out, because I still think he’s a very good appointment for Tottenham.”

Tottenham expected to keep faith with Frank

Despite the outside criticism, reports suggest that the Spurs hierarchy have no intention of dismissing Frank.

According to The Telegraph, the Lewis family view his tenure as a long-term project and will not rush into any drastic decisions.

It seems the 52-year-old will be given the opportunity to turn things around, though there is a concern that his position could become unsustainable if the fanbase turns against him.
