Tottenham supporters won’t be impressed by the actions of two senior players after the final whistle in the PSG clash.

Tottenham fans are unlikely to be happy with the actions of two senior players after the final whistle of the PSG defeat.

Despite losing 5–3, Thomas Frank admitted he was encouraged by the reaction from his squad following their North London derby collapse. The Dane praised his team’s aggression and insisted they might have taken a point from the Parc des Princes with a bit more luck.

However, he may not feel as positive about the actions of two experienced members of his squad. Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur failed to acknowledge the travelling supporters.

At full-time, Frank and the rest of the Tottenham team made their way over to applaud the away end, receiving warm appreciation from fans who recognised the effort despite the first Champions League defeat of the campaign.

But footage posted by Chris Cowlin on YouTube shows Romero and Bentancur heading straight for the tunnel instead. Supporters present at the stadium also confirmed that Romero only clapped briefly from the halfway line before disappearing into the dressing room.

This behaviour is particularly disappointing given recent scrutiny over player conduct following incidents involving Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence. Romero endured a rare off-night in Paris, committing several errors that contributed to PSG’s goals. Although clearly frustrated with his display, many would have expected the captain to face the supporters rather than walk away immediately.
