Thomas Frank reflected on a frustrating evening as Spurs fell 2–1 to Fulham, undone by two early goals inside the opening six minutes that proved decisive in Saturday night’s Premier League match.

Although a second-half surge brought hope—Mo Kudus pulled one back and Spurs applied sustained pressure—the early setback was too much to overturn. Kenny Tete’s deflected effort and Harry Wilson’s finish into an empty net from Guglielmo Vicario’s misplaced clearance left Spurs with a steep challenge at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“This was a hard one,” Thomas said afterwards. “We prepared well, the players were ready, and then suddenly we’re 2-0 down after six minutes. It’s a classic sign of a team going through a difficult spell—things aren’t flowing, momentum isn’t with you, and you concede from a deflection and then from a mistake.”

“In the first half we forced things too much, maybe because we were shocked and desperate to respond. In the second half we were calmer, created more, scored a good goal, and had chances to make it 2-2 but didn’t take them.”
