“It’s over” – Spurs supporters lash out at Thomas Frank after Fulham defeat seen as ‘final straw

Tottenham supporters have largely lost faith in Thomas Frank following a dismal home defeat to Fulham.

The only positives in the 2-1 loss on Saturday, 29 November, came from Micky van de Ven and goalscorer Mohammed Kudus, as Spurs’ fate was effectively sealed within the first six minutes.

The Cottagers struck early, with Kenny Tete finding the net after just four minutes, followed by a defensive blunder from Guglielmo Vicario that allowed Harry Wilson to double the lead. Kudus pulled one back on the hour, but despite numerous chances, Spurs were unable to recover, prompting a chorus of boos from the home crowd.

This result leaves Tottenham with just two wins in their last nine matches across all competitions, dropping them to 10th in the Premier League. Fans have expressed frustration not only at the team’s poor performance but also at Frank’s seemingly calm demeanor amid the turmoil.

Pressure on Frank is mounting, with many supporters convinced the Fulham defeat has delivered a fatal blow to his tenure. While criticism of Daniel Levy’s lack of investment persists, Frank is also being held accountable for what fans describe as a “shambolic display” at home.

According to Mick Brown of Football Insider, Frank’s plans for January could be blocked by Tottenham’s hierarchy, potentially further angering supporters given the current struggles.

Injuries to James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke have compounded the issues, echoing some of the challenges Ange Postecoglou faced. Spurs are also struggling in Europe, sitting 16th in the Champions League after five matches, leaving little hope of silverware this season.

Immediate change is needed in North London, but so far, signs of improvement are scarce.
