Tottenham are now seriously eyeing an “exceptional” 4-3-3 coach as a possible replacement for Thomas Frank.

Tottenham Hotspur are now seriously weighing up a move for an “incredible” manager to replace Thomas Frank after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Fulham.

Frank’s future under threat after another home loss
Spurs’ worrying home form continued, with Fulham handing them a third defeat in four league matches. The lack of creativity, especially in the first half, will have been a major concern, and it isn’t the first time this season the team have struggled going forward. Spurs produced an xG of just 0.07 against Arsenal in the North London derby — the lowest recorded by any Premier League side this season.

With only one home league win to his name, pressure is growing on Frank, and Jamie O’Hara has already questioned whether the Dane is the right man for the job. As a result, ENIC and the board have begun exploring alternatives, and a report in Spain claims Tottenham are seriously considering Barcelona legend Xavi. The club may act if results do not improve by the end of next month.

Xavi, 45, has been out of work since his Barcelona exit in May 2024 and is attracting interest from the Premier League, with Manchester United also looking at him as a possible option. Spurs have not yet made contact but intend to do so if things don’t pick up soon.

“Incredible” Xavi emerges as a strong candidate
Praised as “incredible” by Pep Guardiola, Xavi brings experience at the highest level, having guided Barcelona to the 2022–23 La Liga title and winning eight trophies in total. Known for his attacking 4-3-3 setup, he offers far more proven success than Frank, who has yet to win silverware.

With Tottenham’s attacking displays falling well below expectations, Xavi is viewed as a strong potential successor, and Frank’s position appears increasingly fragile.
