Odds have been cut on the next Premier League manager to lose his job, with “multiple sources” admitting his time is likely up.

Nuno Espirito Santo was the first Premier League manager to be sacked in the 2025-26 campaign after losing his job at Nottingham Forest in September. His successor, Ange Postecoglou, lasted just over a month before also being dismissed.

Nuno has since taken over at West Ham following Graham Potter’s September exit, while Vitor Pereira became the latest casualty when Wolves dismissed him on 2 November.

Daniel Farke increasingly tipped as the next manager to be sacked

Daniel Farke led Leeds back to the Premier League last season, but the team’s inconsistency has left them fighting to stay up.

Leeds currently sit 18th, level on points with 17th-placed West Ham, and face a difficult home match against Chelsea on Wednesday (3 December).

Football Insider reported on 28 November that the club would give Farke two matches to save his job—the first ended in a 3-2 loss to Manchester City. A major bookmaker now lists him as the 4/9 favourite to be the next manager dismissed, ahead of Tottenham’s Thomas Frank (4/1) and Liverpool’s Arne Slot (8/1).

According to The Guardian, “multiple sources” inside the club believe Farke’s future hangs in the balance, with the next few fixtures viewed as crucial.

Who could replace Farke?

Farke’s popularity has dipped in West Yorkshire, and a heavy defeat to Chelsea could prompt the club to act.

Should he be dismissed, Leeds will quickly turn their focus to a replacement as they attempt to avoid immediate relegation. Early names have already surfaced.

Football Insider reports that Leeds are unlikely to appoint Postecoglou after his difficult time at Forest, though he remains a possible option. The club are also monitoring Brendan Rodgers following his departure from Celtic, and he could emerge as a leading candidate if the job becomes available.
