Tottenham are reportedly in advanced discussions with the camp of Yan Diomande, one of the Bundesliga’s brightest emerging talents.

According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Spurs have tracked the 19-year-old for months and have recently stepped up their efforts to sign him. Thomas Frank is keen to strengthen his attack with a dynamic forward capable of breaking defensive lines, and Diomande’s profile fits that need perfectly.

Liverpool are also firmly in the race, with the report stating that the Reds view Diomande as a genuine option for their attacking rebuild. Both clubs have now made “advanced contact” with the player’s entourage.

RB Leipzig, Diomande’s current club, are aware of the growing interest but have yet to begin formal talks with either Premier League side. With his contract running until 2030, Leipzig are expected to demand a substantial fee, setting up a potential bidding battle in January.
