The player is reportedly contemplating a departure from Tottenham shortly after receiving boos from his supporters, Guglielmo Vicario.

Guglielmo Vicario is reportedly weighing up a move away from Tottenham after losing the support of some fans.

The 29-year-old has struggled for form in a team that has underperformed this season, and matters worsened during Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Fulham. Vicario rushed out of his area to clear the ball but instead played it straight to Joshua King, who set up Harry Wilson for the decisive goal.

Spurs went on to lose, and Vicario was met with boos from sections of the home crowd.

Following the error, the Italian goalkeeper is now being linked with an exit from north London. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vicario is seriously reassessing his future and could look to return to Serie A. Inter Milan are said to be monitoring him, as are several other Italian clubs.

Vicario still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, meaning Tottenham would likely demand a substantial fee.

He joined Spurs in the summer of 2023 in a £16million deal from Empoli and has made 94 senior appearances, playing a key role in helping the club secure their first trophy in decades last season. He started the Europa League final in May, where Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 at San Mamés.

Antonin Kinsky currently serves as Vicario’s understudy, with Brandon Austin the third-choice goalkeeper.

Despite his costly mistake against Fulham, Vicario delivered a more encouraging performance in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle.
