Liverpool supporters are calling for two players to be dropped from the squad after their side’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

It marked yet another setback for Arne Slot’s team in the Premier League, with the defending champions now sitting eighth after 14 matches.

Sunderland went ahead through Chemsdine Talbi, whose 67th-minute strike from distance beat Alisson after taking a deflection off Virgil van Dijk. The visitors fully deserved their advantage, but it didn’t last long—Florian Wirtz’s shot, which also deflected, brought Liverpool level. However, the Premier League later ruled that the equaliser would be recorded as a Nordi Mukiele own goal, meaning Wirtz is still waiting for his first Liverpool goal.

Although Liverpool fans have grown used to disappointing results this season, their frustration with certain players continues to grow.

Konaté wasn’t the only player in the firing line. Joe Gomez also faced heavy backlash from supporters for his display.
