Liverpool chiefs Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards are reportedly giving serious thought to appointing Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner as a potential successor to Arne Slot.
Although no formal contact has been made with Glasner yet — and with Manchester United also keeping tabs on him — the Austrian is said to be highly admired within Anfield.
Slot’s job is not immediately under threat, but mounting pressure is undeniable after a dreadful start to the season. Should results fail to turn around quickly, Liverpool are prepared to act, with insiders suggesting Glasner is currently the leading candidate.
Liverpool view Glasner as a Klopp-like figure
Glasner has transformed Crystal Palace’s fortunes, famously guiding them to their first-ever major trophy with an FA Cup final win over Manchester City last season.
His impact at Selhurst Park has impressed many, and Hughes and Edwards are believed to see traits in Glasner that mirror those of Jurgen Klopp — particularly his ability to over-perform and energise a squad.
Given how well he has elevated Palace, some believe he could fit seamlessly into a bigger club with higher ambitions and expectations.

Despite winning the Premier League in his debut campaign, Slot now finds himself battling a steep downturn. Liverpool have managed just four victories in their last 14 matches across all competitions.
