Mo Salah was back in training with Liverpool on Monday, while fresh concerns emerged over two missing players ahead of the Inter showdown.
All eyes were on Liverpool’s Monday morning training session to see whether Mo Salah would take part after his explosive outburst following the 3-3 draw with Leeds.
According to Ben Jacobs, the club’s hierarchy are still weighing up whether the winger will travel with Arne Slot’s squad for Tuesday night’s Champions League tie against Inter Milan.
Despite suggestions that the 33-year-old could be left out of the trip to the San Siro due to his admission that his relationship with Slot has soured, it seems the situation hasn’t reached a breaking point just yet.
Salah spotted in training
Liverpool’s official YouTube livestream showed Salah fully involved in the session at the AXA Training Centre, even sharing a few smiles. However, Liverpool World reported that Wataru Endo and Federico Chiesa were both missing from the open session, casting doubt over their availability for the Inter clash.
The travelling squad will be confirmed later on Monday.
Temporary peace or a step toward resolution?
Endo and Chiesa aren’t regular starters, but their absence still weakens Slot’s options. Chiesa, in particular, has made key contributions off the bench this season.
Salah’s presence in training suggests he could still make the trip to Italy—despite outside voices urging otherwise—and that any friction with Slot may have cooled for now.
Whether this is just a short-term ceasefire or the start of a genuine reconciliation will become clearer soon. The squad announcement and Tuesday’s team sheet at the San Siro will tell us a lot.
