Tottenham legend Heung-min Son was recently targeted in a blackmail attempt, but the people involved have now been sentenced. Reports in May revealed that the former Spurs captain had faced an extortion plot, with Yonhap News stating that Son contacted Korean police after a man and woman tried to blackmail him.
The woman allegedly reached out in June last year claiming she was pregnant with his child, and she and an accomplice confronted Son again in March, demanding money in return for silence.
Four-year sentence for blackmail attempt
According to Sky News, the woman — identified as Yang — attempted to extort 300 million won (£152,000) from Son in 2024. She reportedly sent him a fake ultrasound image of a baby she falsely claimed was his.
The Seoul Central District Court concluded that Yang had deceived Son, and after admitting to the scheme, she was handed a four-year prison sentence.

Konaté: “Success Will Come” Despite the uncertainty, Konaté remains optimistic. Speaking in a recent interview, the French centre-back emphasized that this phase is part of a bigger journey. According to him, Liverpool are still adapting — especially with new players settling into the squad. He believes that with time, chemistry will improve and trophies will follow. 🏆 He also pointed to last season’s success as proof that the team has what it takes to bounce back stronger. 🤝 A Call for Unity More than anything, Konaté stressed the importance of togetherness between the team and its supporters. He praised the Anfield faithful and urged everyone to stay united, insisting that better days are ahead if patience is maintained. ❤️ Interestingly, his comments come at a time when his own future at the club remains uncertain, with his contract situation yet to be resolved heading into the summer. 🔍 What Happens Next? Liverpool’s season is now entering a defining period. Results must improve, injuries need to clear, and stability must return — both on and off the pitch. But if Konaté’s words are anything to go by, belief inside the squad is still very much alive. And sometimes… that’s all it takes before everything turns around. 👀🔥
