Romano noted that while Liverpool’s interest is real, it is “going to be a race” involving multiple suitors, all depending on what Semenyo ultimately decides he wants to do.

Semenyo has now scored seven Premier League goals this season after finding the net in Bournemouth’s chaotic 4-4 draw away at Manchester United on Monday night, his first league goal since early October.
His display at Old Trafford underlined his all-round impact, as he dominated duels, created a clear-cut chance, produced two key passes and even contributed defensively with three clearances.
Although Salah’s cameo against Brighton suggested he has patched things up with Arne Slot following his explosive comments earlier this month, Liverpool are approaching a point where they must seriously plan for a future without their iconic No.11.
That transition may not be immediate, but with Semenyo’s release clause still active, FSG could be tempted to move early and secure a potential long-term successor before the opportunity passes.
