There is a strong likelihood that the player will depart Tottenham, with Spurs reportedly seeking a €30m fee for his exit.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Radu Drăgușin has been sidelined since suffering a serious injury in January, missing over 300 days and yet to feature for the club. He was included in the squad for Spurs’ recent defeat to Liverpool. The centre-back was signed from Genoa for around €30m in January 2024 and could return to Serie A next year.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, there is a “very high” chance the 23-year-old will move to Italy either in the winter transfer window or next summer. The outlet describes a return to Serie A as a “more concrete possibility than ever,” particularly after this season.
Drăgușin, who has a contract with Spurs until 2030, would likely be sold or loaned with the aim of recouping the €30m investment. TuttoMercatoWeb suggests a loan with a purchase obligation could be the preferred approach in January, though some Italian clubs would favor a simple buying option.
AS Roma are reportedly interested if Tottenham agree to a loan deal, while Napoli, who previously showed strong interest, still hold the defender in high regard. Additionally, if Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici moves to Fiorentina as their new head of football, La Viola could also become a potential destination for Drăgușin.
